Community-Based Mental Health Program

INFORMATION

This program shall include the Training of Community Mental Health Coaches, Creation of Community Protocols for Mental Health Crisis, provision for Information campaigns, establishment of Liaison with Mental Health Institution, and provision for Children and Women Security.
The Training of Community Mental Health Coaches is a strategy that aims to train individuals who can promote mental health through the provision of reliable mental health information, promotion of family and community bonds and attachments, and enhancement of an individual’s meaning and identity. This training shall be done through videoconferencing, practical exercises and asynchronous lecture. The trainees are also expected to assess and support at least 5 individuals during the training period and share their experience during the monthly group discussion. Likewise, regular group feedback shall be done to monitor the progress of the trainees. Mental health professional support shall also be provided during regular group discussion with the trainees.
