As the capital and neighboring provinces grapple with the unabated surge of COVID-19 cases in the world’s longest lockdown, The LeadGov Hub and its partners have been endeavoring to re-imagine methodologies to deliver continued capacity building and technical assistance adaptive of the situation. These efforts recognize the possibility of a prolonged pandemic scenario including ones to build on and sustained in a post-pandemic or even a multi-wave COVID-19 scenario.
Combining the familiarity and acceptability of a television talk show, the LeadGovX is a source of democratic governance narratives highlighting innovation, reform, gender-responsiveness, transparency, and accountability relevant to enhancing local government functions and responses. This, amid a national confusion, incoherence, and lack of clarity of direction aggravated by limitations on in-person interactions particularly in-person technical assistance, training, information sessions, mentoring, planning; and, growing consensus on the fatigue, unraveling insufficiency and unsustainability of webinars and online meetings.
The LeadGovX features and iterates unfolding innovations, practices, and progress in governance work adversely affected by the pandemic. Respected personalities, community leaders, and other subject matter experts will expound on the conversations.
